Floor Tech Position Summary
Floor Technicians, or Floor Techs, are an essential part of our community, providing the best life and care for our residents. Together, with our Housekeeping team, they are responsible for maintaining a clean environment with a special focus on proper infection control practices. Floor Techs maintain all hard floor surfaces, providing thorough cleaning, including dust mopping, damp or wet floor mopping, scrubbing, spray buffing, top coating, stripping and refinishing. Our Floor Technicians maintain the appearance of our carpets, ceiling and wall light fixtures. Floor Techs assist our staff and residents with set-up and breakdown of equipment in designated rooms to prepare for events or activities.
Floor Tech Job Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for the use of chemicals and cleaning agents
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
Must be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
