Position Summary Information

General Summary

In a team environment, the Student Intern - Water/Wastewater Systems Assessments will assist our staff with assignments related to water condition assessment, sewer condition assessment, collection system analysis in the Line Blockage Analysis Program, and helping the inspection crews.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with management of flow monitoring program
  • Assist with management of asset armoring and stream protection program
  • Assist with management of inflow and infiltration program
  • Assist with management of closed circuit television program
  • Assist with management of pre-stressed cylinder concrete pipe program
  • Assist with management of metallic water main inspection program
  • Assist with management of small and large valve inspection program
  • Assist the Project Managers and the Associate Project Manager with overseeing the implementation of the Consent Decree.
  • Assist with verifying data for the quarterly reports and individual submissions.
  • Assist in reviewing daily sever reports to ensure that all Sanitary Sewer Overflows have been confirmed and reported to the regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in preparing five day written reports for all SSO's

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements

Completion of 2 years of college coursework

Additional Requirements

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferences

Major in a STEM discipline
