Classification Title: Asset Specialist I Job Description: The UF Surplus is responsible for the appropriate disposition and sustainability of all information technology, electronic, medical/scientific and furniture property surveyed out as surplus by all UF departments. UF Surplus fulfills UF's sustainability commitment by reducing UF's waste by reusing technology within UF, reselling to the public or donating to the community, and recycling technology that is no longer viable. The OPS performs the following: Inbound (Pickup Surplus Property) - responsible for driving to various locations on campus as scheduled by the scheduling area personnel to remove surplus equipment. The position reviews the equipment on-site and verify that the correct surplus equipment, per the pick-up report, and tagged and scanned into the inventory system following all Surplus guidelines.
