Shift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM

Days of Week: MONDAY-FRIDAY

This position will be responsible for managing strategic communications, building divisional internal communications and engagement, and supporting strong collaborative business relationships for UF Health Information Technology (IT) Services. They will serve as a liaison to a variety of stakeholders to build and maintain trust among constituents, help manage perceptions of UF Health IT's performance and proactively identify concerns or considerations that might impact IT or its customer base regarding IT systems, processes and services. The incumbent will be a seasoned, forward-thinking strategic communicator with experience in a complex corporate or academic work environment directing internal communications and business or customer relationship communications. The incumbent will help craft messaging, develop multimedia communications tools and build internal and system wide awareness and engagement for UF Health IT Services' vision, services, initiatives, projects, and teams and staff. They will help establish and build on the division's positive reputation across the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required with master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in complex strategic communication programs and teams in a corporate or academic setting; higher education and/or health care experience preferred
  • Must possess outstanding organizational and strategic communications planning skills; excellent interpersonal communications and ability to build strong, collaborative relationships and promote cross-functional teamwork across a diverse organization; demonstrated ability to lead highly productive work groups; and proven track record of problem-solving and managing issues and crisis communications
  • Must possess strong writing, editing, and presentations skills along with strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of IT processes and terminology preferred

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver" NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
