Classification Title: OPS Research Technician Classification Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in microbiology, molecular biology, chemical engineering, or a related field. Appropriate college coursework or technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Job Description: The Ding Lab in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry is looking for a full-time OPS Research Technician to use bacteria and yeast to produce bioactive molecules under microgravity conditions. The successful candidate will design and conduct experiments using microbiology, genetics, synthetic biology and molecular biology techniques. Additional duties will include but not be limited to general laboratory and equipment maintenance. The Ding lab has multiple interdisciplinary projects and technicians, undergrads, grad students, and postdocs of various backgrounds, which provide an excellent training environment for self-motivated candidates.
