Position Overview

The Rooms Director is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front Office and Housekeeping in accordance with hotel standards. This role involves directing, implementing, and maintaining a service and management philosophy that serves as a guide for respective staff. The Rooms Director will work with managers and associates to successfully execute all Front Office operations, striving to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance of the department.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  2. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  3. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  4. Ensure compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures.
  5. Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  6. Supervise daily front desk shift operations and ensure compliance with all department policies, standards, and procedures.
  7. Participate in departmental meetings and communicate a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
  8. Perform other duties as reasonably requested.

Compensation and Benefits

Salaried position: $90,000/year.

Requirements

  1. Driver's license
  2. Three years of experience in the Hospitality Industry in a similar position
  3. Previous guest relations training
  4. Ability to exert physical effort in transporting 50 pounds, sometimes overhead
  5. Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
