POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Maintenance Assistant to assist in the overall general maintenance of the buildings and facilities of the UAA. This position perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, rough carpentry work, painting, hanging signage, and minor electrical work.
This posting will remain open until qualified candidates are chosen.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of general maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work in a customer-based environment while presenting a positive attitude towards both internal and external customers
- Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
- Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Carpentry or woodworking experience
