Position Summary

The incumbent will manage and execute sensory and consumer research studies to meet client objectives by working within the sensory science team. Study types may include descriptive, discrimination, and quantitative consumer research studies.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications Desired

  • 2 years experience in a sensory laboratory setting

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct projects, designing research to meet client objectives, producing actionable data, interpreting results, reporting findings, and making recommendations.
  • Interface with clients to determine needs and how to apply sensory science.
  • Support panel recruitment and database expansion.
  • Apply statistical analysis to interpret study data.
  • Support project setup and product preparation as needed.
  • Provide coaching and share experience with junior colleagues.
  • Improve departmental methodologies, solutions, and facilities.
  • Maintain knowledge in scientific disciplines.

Communication

  • Occasional contact with personnel outside the immediate unit, interaction with Sensory Manager and team members.

Your Profile

Success factors include interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, problem-solving, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Physical demands include working in a laboratory with proper safety measures, exposure to heat and liquids, extended standing, and sensory perception abilities.
