About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center Gainesville. As the leader of our Front Office team, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional guest service and a smooth operation. You will provide guidance and leadership to your team, ensuring they deliver consistent quality customer service and uphold the Pyramid Hotel Group's high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Communication:
• Provide clear and effective verbal and written communication to motivate and guide your team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the Front Office.
• Guest Service:
• Greet guests warmly and professionally, making them feel welcome and valued.
• Handle the registration process efficiently and accurately, utilizing the hotel's computer system.
• Assist guests with room selection based on their needs and preferences.
• Remain calm and composed during busy periods and emergency situations.
• Effectively resolve guest concerns and complaints to ensure their satisfaction.
• Financial Management:
• Handle cash transactions accurately and balance the assigned house bank.
• Accept and process various forms of payment, including vouchers, traveler's checks, and foreign currency.
• Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts accurately using the computer system.
• Administrative Duties:
• Answer the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Input and retrieve messages for guests using the computer system.
• Manage guest mail, packages, and faxes.
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Perform basic mathematical calculations using a calculator.
• Adapt to changing situations and make sound decisions based on experience and judgment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
