Job Description
Full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-accruing Lecturer position at the University of Florida's Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law. The role focuses on legal decision making and begins August 16, 2026.
Responsibilities include teaching three Law & Society courses each semester (Law & Legal Process, Law & Society, Juvenile Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure); supporting other undergraduate courses; advising students; engaging in undergraduate research collaborations; and participating in campus-wide initiatives such as UF Quest and Beyond120.
Qualifications
Required: Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a relevant social science field by date of hire. A Juris Doctor alone is not sufficient. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in face-to-face and/or online formats.
